Honest 1 Blaine - A Nightmare Experience I cannot stress enough how disappointed and frustrated I am with Honest 1 Blaine. On Tuesday, July 30th, 2024, my perfectly functioning 2002 VW Jetta suddenly overheated while parked near their shop. Upon inspection, they claimed to find large plastic pieces in the coolant reservoir. As someone familiar with automotive systems, I know this is impossible given the closed nature of the coolant system. To my astonishment, I discovered that Honest 1 Maple Grove was the last shop to replace my coolant. The evidence points strongly to the possibility of foreign objects being introduced during their service. When I confronted Honest 1 Blaine about my concerns, their response was dismissive and accusatory. Instead of addressing my issue professionally, I was met with disbelief and hostility. I strongly advise anyone considering using Honest 1 Blaine to think twice. Their lack of professionalism, coupled with the potential for negligence, is unacceptable. I will be taking further steps to address this matter and ensure that no one else falls victim to their incompetence.

You only have one visit in our system and the one and only visit was to the Blaine location on 7/30/2024. Your vehicle overheated and we found plastic pieces contaminating your coolant system which lead to the overheating. We didn't put pieces of plastic into your cooling system- it arrived here that way, which is why it was overheating, and we cleaned out your coolant reservoir and you declined cleaning out the entire system to ensure it was fully cleaned allowing coolant to flow correctly. You will likely have more overheating issues. It's not uncommon for a 23 year old car with 250k miles to have multiple issues and for plastic breaking down due to age and to normal engine operating temperatures. If you had prior service at the Maple Grove location that you think may have caused this problem you should contact them and see what can be done under our 3 year/36k mile warranty.
